I need finsh suggestions (not UV) for a player with very acidic perspiration problems. Nitro is out as that has failed on the top where the arms rests. Two part Urethane is being considered but I am not 100% sold on it's effect on tone. It sounds a bit tight and muted compared to Nitro. I don't have any experience with KTM9, as far as being resistant to heavy acidic perspiration? Target 9000 is off my A list list for now. Any suggestions would be appreciated from folks who have addressed this problem before.

Tim,

I have been using cat urethane for years and like the results. IMO it sound severy bit as good as lacquer if done properly. You can also use cat lacquer.
Good Luck

KTM-9 is very resistant to acidic body chemistry.

Mike Doolin said he had problems like this on his personal guitar and KTM-9 seems to have cured it. Give his finishing article a read.
